Jenna & Cam Came to Visit

One of my best girlfriends from college, Jenna, lives in Denver, which is great considering we head that way so often.  We unfortunately didn't make it out there last year or this year though because of Madden, so it had been WAY too long since we've seen each other!  So, she decided to just pack herself and her almost-2-year-old Cameron up and come to us instead!

These two became fast buddies.

They flew in Friday afternoon, and we spent the rest of the day playing and letting the kids get to know each other.  Then on Saturday, up bright and early with the kids, we decided to hit the Wild Animal Park.

We decided to take my double BOB and an umbrella stroller so that we had seating for all 3 kids.  That sounded like a GREAT idea, until we packed everyone up and realized my car is way too small for all of us and that gear!!  Luckily, Jenna had some room up front, and cuddled with the umbrella stroller on the ride there and back.  Such a good sport :)

This picture does now do the crowded backseat justice.  Let's just say, if we were to have 3 kids (which we're not), we'd for sure be getting a new car.

Luckily, despite the cramped quarters, everyone was happy!

We made it!  Checking out the lions.

Taking the safari train ride, which the boys loved!

Madden was a trooper, despite skipping his morning nap.  He dozed in the stroller a bit, and was a happy boy the rest of the time.

So, apparently I only took pictures at the WAP, and of course didn't get a single picture of Jenna and I together.  We did have Opa over later on Saturday to watch the Gator game, and as usual was a hit with the kids.  Everyone loves Opa!

It was so great to have them come for a (very quick) visit!  The boys had a great time together, and it's always refreshing to spend time with my best friends who I don't get to see too often.  We're hoping to make it to Denver next summer to visit them and all our other friends who live there - by then there will be THREE new babies to meet, including Jenna's 2nd, news she surprised me with that weekend!

Madden - 10 Months!

Another month down, another month closer to the big 1!

Little man is as busy as ever, and is turning out to be much more of a terror than his brother ever was...said with all the affection in the world of course! This guy keeps us laughing all day long with his "boyish" antics.

That face has mischief written all over it!

Month 10 was an active one.  We spend a lot of time enjoying the outdoors, like on the cousins' trampoline.

Taking evening bike rides/car rides around the neighborhood with Mason.

Lots of time at the pool, including a great evening dinner by the pool one Sunday with the cousins.

Yes, Madden got some pizza :)

Watching the big kids swim while he finished dinner.

We also went to the playground a few times - we have a swing at home but this was his first time in the playground swing.  It was also his first time in shoes, I think I died when I put them on.  The cuteness!!

That's the face of a baby that keeps trying to sneak bark into his mouth.  Gotta love the "puts everything in mouth" stage.

Madden also joined me on some runs in the jogger stroller.  He's quite the coach and supervisor during my post-run planks and pushups.

And don't worry, he's still an eating machine.  Little guy definitely knows the word "eat".  You say "Madden, do you want to eat?" and he starts crawling over as fast as he can!

Yup, that's a rib.

Ah yes, another development this month...the discovery of gravity.  And cause and effect.  So cute, and so annoying, all at the same time!

Hey Mase, whatcha eatin?  Can I have some?  I like oatmeal.  Like, I like oatmeal a lot.  If you give me some I'll be your best friend.  But I'll probably still try to take your cars.

Madden and Opa picking up Mason from school.  Love this pic!

He's also learned how to suck up to mama, just like his daddy and his shirt!

Our happy boy.  This was taken at the beginning of the month while his teeth were still coming in.  All 4 on top are all the way in now, but those are pictures for next month!

We sure do love our happy, busy, mess of a boy.  He is the 2nd light of our lives...can't believe he's almost one!
